But we don’t sell pools.  These packets are pre-packaged to make 1 gallon of iced tea. They come in a reusable muslin bag. Of course the bag will be stained after you use it- but what a way to get stained!

    Fine Ti Kuan Yin, is our China Oolong. It’s smoother than the Formosa. The leaves aren’t as course as our Oolong from Taiwan, which usually gives you that hint it’ll be a little mellow. A great Oolong on its own- but being on the “less woodsy” side any herbs added seem to peek their heads out more.

    NO FRILLS PACKAGING means you’ll get your tea in a Glassine Lined bag instead of the fancy labeled “normal canister or package” AND we add a little more tea for less money!

  • Oolong Formosa

    We use this as our Oolong base for flavoring. Being from Formosa, which only means it came from Taiwan, it has that characteristic rough rolled brown leaf. This Oolong is closer to our base Black tea from Sri Lanka giving it a solid woodsy taste on its own. GREAT with some JASMINE!!!!

    Our Formosa is a darker brew and very woodsy, so be careful adding some of the more subtle flavors and herbs- they can be overtaken by that woodsy flavor.     Pet Adoption Network. Located in upstate New York the Pet Adoption Network has dedicated itself; with the help of many volunteers and animal “foster” homes- to address the issues surrounding homeless animals. This is no easy ride for many non-profit organizations, so we want to help. Design your custom blend below and we’ll send along 50% of that purchase to the Pet Adoption Network. So lets help this great cause out!

    OUR MISSION- to rescue homeless pets; obtain veterinary care and make them available for permanent placement with responsible guardians. No adoptable pet will be euthanized solely for lack of a permanent home. We will strive for increased public awareness of the need to spay/neuter and vaccinate pets, and educate the public on the proper care of companion animals. This effort is intended to reduce the large population of homeless pets, primarily in the City of Rochester.

  • Yerba Mate

    Yerba Mate (erba – ma-tay) This is a VERY popular drink from South America. Called “The Drink of the Gods” by many indigenous groups there, it has been enjoyed for centuries for its therapeutic properties. Found to have very similar chemical components to green tea; however, yerba mate is much more nutritious. Does contain a moderate amount of Caffeine.

    Mate – comes from a small evergreen (holly family). High in minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. There is an entire “ritual” or process to drinking Mate. It’s usually steeped in a hollowed gourd (Cuia), rolled around and compressed, then cold water can be added. A metal straw with mesh on the bottom called a Bombilla is used to drink from the bottom of the gourd, passed around, to the right (I believe) and shared with all in the circle. If you don’t have a bombilla/gourd… it’s totally OK, you can use a tea bag or strainer- just don’t let your friends see you enjoying it this way, they might call the Bombilla Police!
