    Honeybush is similar to Rooibos in that it comes from South Africa. It’s referred to as “The other red-tea”. Being CAFFEINE FREE, it makes a “sweet” night time tea. Harvested from the Eastern Cape- Honeybush is slightly sweeter than Rooibos and actually has a fine scent of honey… is also GREAT cold!

    Honeybush flowers emit a distinct “honey” scent and is harvested during their flowering season, thus it’s name! NO FRILLS PACKAGING means you’ll get your tea in a Glassine Lined bag instead of the fancy labeled “normal canister or package” AND we add a little more tea for less money!

    What’s better than an after dinner treat while watching the sun set? Maybe a almond cookie or two or three or four! But all that sugar is sure to keep you wide awake. We took naturally caffeine free Rooibos tea, mixed in a few ALMOND pieces and added NATURAL VANILLA and MARZIPAN (tastes a little like eggnog) flavorings to come up with Marzipan Sunset. A nice substitute to the German known Marzipan cookie…your pants will thank you!

    “PeacaMint” Tea – Was our 2008 Holiday Blend. A smooth mix of earthy pecan flavor with that seasonal and traditional peppermint hint, makes for a “manly, yet soft” concoction. Blended in a Rooibos base and being naturally caffeine free, this holiday blend is PERFECT for cuddling up on a sofa and watching the snow fall outside your window. Which is always better than watching it snow inside your house I guess!

    Have to give credit to my step-son Ben on this one. I mentioned that we needed to make a holiday blend for the 2008 season. He returned with this one. I will admit I’m not a big peppermint fella, but this combo is GREAT. Hope you enjoy this blend… we sure do.

    Plum and Vanilla sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First comes love, then comes marriage then comes a baby in a baby carriage. I know, sort of weird. Plum Love’n makes a GREAT iced tea- and that “ain’t” weird at all!!!

    We saw the way these two were looking at each other in the blending room. So we introduced them, although shy at first, vanilla did make the first move. Mixed in a Rooibos base, we’re sure you will love this combination.

  • Red – CHAI

    Love Chai, but can do without the caffeine? Our red chai has many of the same ingredients as our black Chai, but we use caffeine free Rooibos as the base. Add a little milk and watch the infusion turn from a dark color to a relaxing light caramel. You’ll feel like you’re in the back streets of Cairo… or at least on your cozy couch.

    CHAI actually means “tea” in India. Ours is a blend of spices (Cardamom, Ginger, Vanilla, Cinnamon Chips, Cloves) all playing nicely in a Rooibos base.

    Rooibos (Roy-Bus)- This is one of those tisanes that is referred to in America as a “Red Tea”. It’s from the southern cape of South Africa, being naturally Caffeine Free it makes a great night time tea! The bonus… It has more antioxidants and minerals than even Green/White teas. Having no tannins, it won’t get bitter… meaning you can’t screw it up steeping!!! It’s great cold. And I LOVE the color of the brew- a deep red. It has a sweet smoky taste, allowing many flavors and herbs to dance well with it.

    In South Africa, mothers give cooled rooibos to colicky babies, as it soothes the stomach. We strongly believe there are beneficial properties to many herbs; but again, we don’t advocate any medicinal affects/effects of any herbs. So PLEASE check with a professional and do your research on any/all herbs you want to experiment with.

    The deep color of this infusion makes me think of my ruby slippers.. well not “my” ruby slippers, but Dorothy’s…really, what makes you think I would have or wear ruby slippers… OR would I?   • Straw-Cherry Baby – Straw-Cherry

    If you say this blend name like it’s written… it’s missing something. BUT if you say it like Austin Powers would (with that British spy tone)… Go ahead and do it- no one is listening!!! NOW it makes you smile and want to buy it! If not buy it… at least go around work saying it a few times 🙂 Promise it’ll aggravate the one you love after about the 5th time saying it.

    A caffeine free ROOIBOS base – a strawberry/cherry tea that will taste great cold. Also, being the Rooibos base- you can’t screw up the brew and make it bitter like you can with some teas…Why? Because there are no tannins in rooibos (not from an actual tea leaf) which means no bitter taste. So you can steep it in the hot water as long as you like AND reheat- go ahead all the cool kids are doing it!
