Gunpowder Green Tea from China. This tea is growing in popularity, a little naturally on the bitter side. The leaves are rolled into small balls while wet, giving it a unique characteristic. These small balls resemble “gun pellets” which one might say “gunpowder tea” obtained its name from.

After pouring the hot water on these little balls of fire – watch them unfold into a slightly bitter brew. Remember green teas don’t usually like that boiling water – so take the pot to the tea, which will cool it down enough for the “greens”. And only steep those 1-2 minutes. Gunpowder is a tad bitter on its own, so don’t think you brewed it too long 🙂 NO FRILLS PACKAGING means you’ll get your tea in a Glassine Lined bag instead of the fancy labeled “normal canister or package” AND we add a little more tea for less money!
