CHINA WHITE – White Peony (Pai Mu Tan) – Bringing up the end of the GREEN tea pack. The leaves are only steamed and dried- the least of all processed. Even less than all greens-This process gives whites their long twisted leaf appearance as well as leaving behind the highest level of antioxidants. Most White teas are more expensive than other teas and are considered the purest tea by some. Due in part to the delicate care that is needed with picking these teas- at some estates only women are allowed this task 🙂

White Tea – All the rave, with all its antioxidant properties. If a touch of flavoring is requested we can add a little green flavored tea as well as herbs. When steeping, only 1 level teaspoon per 6-8 oz cup, use fresh water until steaming (not boiling) steep for 30 seconds to 1 minute White Peony will have a clean taste with a very faint hint of apple flavor. A little darker appearance than the Silver Needle Blend, but still a much lighter color than ANY green you’ll see. NO FRILLS PACKAGING means you’ll get your tea in a Glassine Lined bag instead of the fancy labeled “normal canister or package” AND we add a little more tea for less money!
