  • Lapsang Souchong

    $5.10$9.00

Produced in China and Formosa (Taiwan), Lapsang Souchong has a very “smoky” smell making it one of the most distinctive Black teas out there. This is also called the “man tea” of teas. Can also be used to bring hardcore coffee drinkers over to the light side… The flavor and aroma come from the drying of these leaves over the smoke of pine needles or pinewood.

The brew is a rich and dark and actually a smooth taste. After smelling it, one might think it would make a “tarry” tea and the lower qualities do… not ours! NO FRILLS PACKAGING means you’ll get your tea in a Glassine Lined bag instead of the fancy labeled “normal canister or package” AND we add a little more tea for less money!

  • Mrs. Earl Grey

    $5.10$9.00

Did you ever have to CRAZY man wearing a wig burst into you office and start raving as to why a freaking Dog, Zombie, Pumpkin, Squirrel, Deer blends are ALL created BEFORE HIS (her) blend? Well I experienced that a ways back. To keep him (her) from more upset- I negotiated my life for the opportunity to create a new blend for them. We’ve added a little lemon balm and a few sprinkles of lavender and Orange bits and an occasional cornflower & Rose petal to our base Earl Grey to give it a more floral taste.

Our “Mrs Grey” model didn’t show for the shoot… so if this guy (our local stand in) looks mad… he is! Our Mrs. Earl Grey is a spin off of our Earl Grey (obviously).

  • NAMASTE

    $5.10$9.00

NAMASTE – for anyone who knows yoga… they are familiar with “Namaste”… for the rest of us it’s a peaceful “centering” greeting and farewell. The one where people place hands together over their hearts and bow to the other.

Our Namaste blend is a Yerba Mate (very healthy) base with Lavender and Spearmint. Although the yerba mate does have caffeine properties, you wouldn’t know it after drinking this herbal blend. VERY relaxing!!! NAMASTE 🙂

Yerba Mate is a GREAT source of antioxidants, minerals and detoxifiers! Yerba does have a natural property very similar to caffeine, but I think the Lavender and spearmint- kick its butt and the result… a relaxing tea. Enjoy PS- Jenn swears by it after yoga class 🙂

  • Pu-erh

    $6.00$9.80

Pu-erh (poo-yair) is a VERY hardy Black tea. Some may say… an acquired taste. It comes from the bold leaf tea which is from the providence of Yunnan in China. It’s an “aged tea”, which means as a result of it’s oxidation process it actually gets smoother and “better” over time. Where most teas will lose taste and quality with time. It has a very EARTHY taste. In part because it’s “composted” ( …yes I said composted) during the finial phase of processing. Lower in tannins than other blacks it doesn’t tend to become bitter when steeped. Actually the longer you steep it the STRONGER it becomes. This is the “wine” of teas… at least in concept.

Like a fine wine, pu-erh gets better with time. If you want to try a sample with your order, feel free to ask us. I love it, but it really is an acquired taste. When I smell and taste it I can only think of one thing…. for me to know and you to find out.

  • Squirrel Zinger

    $5.10$9.00

So one day Cedar (our oldest dog) was out chasing squirrels, which he has done since a puppy. He stops mid-chase; looks at me and says- “The worse thing I do is chase squirrels. Why am I not featured on a damn label? So I’m standing there looking at my dog who just started talking; what does one say to a talking dog? Seeing the anger in his eyes he could become a Cujo at any second, so I promised him I would come up with something as a tribute!

    * Chestnuts made sense (squirrels)…why lemon?  No reason- just tasted good together. Cedar was happy though- that’s all that mattered. NEVER heard him talk again- weird.
